2020 TOKYO OLYMPICS

On September 7th, 2013, Japanese PM Shinzo Abe declared to the world in Japan's Olympic bid that,
"Some may have concerns about Fukushima. Let me assure you, the situation is under control. It has never done and will never do any damage to Tokyo."[source]
This is widely disputed by a multitude of sources.[1 2 3 4 ]

For a short-term tourist, to suffer paranoia about exposure to ionizing radionuclides is silly. Of course there is a certain risk that the fish you are eating, or the root vegetable, mountain vegetables, mushrooms, dairy products or meat may be highly contaminated. Tobacco also. But, other foods have little or no contamination, many coming from other parts of Japan. It is true that Plutonium has been found as far away as Ibaraki [1 2] and that even small internal ingestion can cause health issues it is very improbable to be affected in a 4-5 day stay. Likewise, exposure to the high levels of Cesium and Strontium found in Tokyo (as well as Tohoku, Kanto [1]), which effects the human body through accumulation, is also unlikely to cause serious concern for a healthy adult. I would only caution infants, pregnant women or athletes [1].
People who stay longer are at a risk. Background radiation is high in Tokyo, and it is always tempting to visit Tohoku and consume food and drink under the governments murderous "Support Fukushima by eating" propaganda campaign. No matter what they say, Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant did happen, is totally out of control and there is no known technology to stop it [1 2 3]. It is also very, very close to Tokyo.

Tokyo Earthquake
The Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 hit the Tokyo area with estimated casualties totalling about 142,800 deaths[source]. It is widely expected a massive earthquake will hit Japan anytime. Hundreds of thousands are expected to perish in Tokyo along with millions of building destroyed or damaged. Some predictions spell the end to Nagoya and Shizuoka, and massive tsunami destruction right along Japan's coastline if the Great Tokai Eartquake is centred in the Nankai Trough. [source]

Mt Fuji Eruption
Just 112km from Tokyo, experts predict the high probability of Mt Fuji erupting. It is estimated up to 470000 residents would have to evacuate. [source] Depending on wind direction, Tokyo flights would be stopped and if the Shinkansen (bullet train) and major train lines are effected, Eastern Japan might become isolated. Volcanic ash would seriously affect Tokyo's food security.

Tokai Nuclear Power Plant
Tokai1 NPP and Tokai2 NPP are situated about 110km from Tokyo, in Ibaraki Prefecture. Tokai1 is decommissioned, but Tokai2 is not. It was damaged by the earthquake that destroyed Fukushima Daiichi NPP. [source]
There has been two major reported nuclear accidents, including deaths and workers exposed to life-threatening radiation. [source]
The major expected Great Tokyo Earthquake would, in any sensible opinion, affect these nuclear facilities, as well as Fukushima Daini NPP. Evacuation in the event of the worst case scenario is most probably impossible, depending on environmental factors like; wind direction, scale of infrastructural damage, honest reporting and information assimilation. English language emergency support is rumoured to be in preparation.
It is also believed that 331kgs of weapon-grade Plutonium is held there. [source]
